Dock & Lift Service on Cages Bend, Old Hickory Lake
Cages Bend is the peninsula reaching into Old Hickory Lake on the Gallatin side, just up the shoreline from Hendersonville past the Cages Bend recreation area. The Bend sits on the upper, wider reach of the lake, and the current is part of every job out here.
Through-Current on the Upper Lake
The upper lake still carries a noticeable Cumberland through-current, and on a peninsula like Cages Bend that current pushes steadily on the anchor lines from one side. Docks drift out of square over a season, so anchor and cable resets are the bread and butter of our Cages Bend work.
Flotation and Lifts
The same current and the Corps releases swing the level enough that floats take a hard life here. We swap tired billets in a float repair, rebuild a dock that has aged past patching with a full rebuild, and install or service the boat lift.
Permits on the Bend
The Army Corps of Engineers controls dock size and shoreline work on Cages Bend through the Shoreline Management Plan, and not every lot is eligible for a dock. We confirm your classification and permit standing before any footprint change.
